Children  made their own crowns to mark the historic occasion, with their creations then being displayed at St Mary’s Church in Heacham.

The celebrations were also set to continue, with a whole-school Coronation Banquet planned for the following week, complete with sandwiches, sausage rolls, crudités, cream and jam scones, and fruit.

Other West Norfolk Academy Trust schools joined us in celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III.

At St Clement’s High a time capsule was created which included recordings of students talking about their lives to add a personal touch to the historic event.

Smithdon students recreated the King’s official cypher on the school playing field using their uniform to provide the red, white and blue for an image captured by a drone.

Snettisham Primary had a street party and created crowns and pupils at Clenchwarton chose a Commonwealth country to study as part of the celebration - which also included a picnic.

West Lynn children played croquet and staged a royal treasure hunt and street party and Walpole Cross Keys pupils got creative and designed collages and stamps with a royal theme.
